Betano Operator, Kaizen Gaming, Seeks Authorization for Brazilian Market
Kaizen Gaming, the company behind the Betano brand, has officially applied for authorization to commercially operate sports betting and online gambling in Brazil. This move follows the recent SPA/MF Ordinance No. 827, published on May 22nd, which outlines the rules and conditions for private companies to enter the Brazilian market.
Kaizen Gaming submitted its application to the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) through the Betting Management System (SIGAP), acting on behalf of its Brazilian subsidiary, Kaizen Gaming Brasil.
The SPA has indicated that Kaizen Gaming is likely to receive authorization by December 31, 2024, provided their application was submitted by the August 20th deadline. This timeline applies to all companies meeting the initial application requirements.
