Brazil’s sports betting and online gaming market is expanding. The federal government has authorized three new operators, referred to locally as “Bets,” to offer their services within the country. MMA, Betvip, and PapiGames, all brands belonging to Select Operations Ltda., have secured licenses to operate both physical and virtual platforms. This authorization remains valid until May 20, 2030.

With this latest ordinance, the total number of authorized companies in Brazil has reached 81, including seven operating under court order. These companies collectively manage 180 sports betting and online gaming websites.

The authorization is formalized under SPA/MF Ordinance No. 1,112, dated May 21, 2025. This ordinance grants Select Operations Ltda. the legal right to operate fixed-odds lottery betting.
