Liam Kinsella

Hi, I’m Liam Kinsella, a 38-year-old Irishman with a lifelong love for sport and a career shaped by the fast-moving world of iGaming. I’ve spent the majority of my professional life in the industry, working across everything from operations and customer experience to product and innovation. My passion for iGaming was sparked when I was a teenager after attending my first race night at Dundalk Stadium. I’ll never forget the atmosphere, the intensity, and the connection people had to the sport. It was electric. That night opened my eyes to a world where entertainment, competition, and community all came together. Since then, I’ve worked with some fantastic teams and brands, helping to create engaging experiences that bring that same thrill to players around the globe. Outside of work, I’m a big sports fan. Rugby, football, racing, even a bit of darts. I’ve also got a soft spot for gardening; there’s something therapeutic about switching off and spending a few hours with the plants. When I’m not outdoors, I’m usually reading - anything from sports biographies to thrillers. I’m proud to be part of the global tech and gaming space, and I’m always looking for new ways to push the boundaries of what iGaming can offer.

7MBR Ltda. Receives Authorization to Operate in Brazil After Suspension

Brazilian gaming company 7MBR Ltda. has been authorized to resume operations in Brazil under its brands Cbet, Verbet, and Fanbit. This follows a period of suspension due to non-compliance with regulatory requirements.

The suspension, which occurred on April 11, was a result of the company’s failure to provide the necessary technical certificates and betting system documentation. These documents, related to sports betting, remote game server (RGS), and integration, needed to be issued by a certifying entity accredited by SPA-MF (Secretariat of Prizes and Betting of the Ministry of Finance).

Other companies, including Pixbet Soluções Tecnológicas (Pixbet, Flabet, and Bet da Sorte) and TQJ-Par (Baú Bingo, Tele Sena Bet, and Bet Do Milhão), have also faced similar regulatory hurdles. Pixbet Soluções Tecnológicas has since regained its definitive license. TQJ-Par, which has Grupo Sílvio Santos as a shareholder, is still awaiting its license but maintains its plans to begin operations in the second half of the year.

However, 7MBR Ltda. has now met all requirements. On Tuesday, the SPA published Ordinance 844, officially recognizing the company’s compliance and granting authorization to operate until December 31, 2029.

During the suspension, 7MBR apologized to its users, citing “administrative and bureaucratic challenges” in ensuring full compliance with the new Brazilian laws. The company has since announced that “everything has been definitively resolved and our platform will be fully online and our games will be available again.”
