Gaming in Spain Conference Unveils Preliminary Program

The Gaming in Spain conference has announced its preliminary program for this year’s edition, scheduled for June 26th at the ECIJA Auditorium in Madrid. The initial agenda features prominent experts and institutional representatives who will address the key regulatory and sustainability challenges facing the industry today.

Confirmed speakers include Mikel Arana, Director General of the DGOJ, who will provide insights on “algorithms, advertising, and deposit limits,” focusing on new regulatory obligations affecting the sector. Xavi Muñoz, a partner at ECIJA, will deliver a legislative update. Josh Hodgson, Chief Operating Officer of H2 Gambling Capital, will present an economic analysis of the Spanish iGaming market, highlighting growing concerns about the rise of the unregulated market.

The sustainability of the legalized market will be a central theme, with participation from Jorge Hinojosa, Director General of Jdigital; Ester Martin-Ortega, Head of Public Affairs and Sustainability at Flutter Entertainment; and Camille Gonzálvez, a gaming law specialist from ECIJA. The event will also focus on Latin America, with sessions dedicated to regulation in Brazil, led by Matheus Puppe, and a panel discussion on emerging markets in the region featuring representatives from Peru, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic.

In addition to the main program, the conference will offer practical workshops on internal audits, GDPR compliance, and the implementation of the upcoming EU Artificial Intelligence Act. These workshops, organized by Chevron, will take place on June 25th and are free for registered attendees.

The conference will also host the Jdigital Awards, recognizing outstanding initiatives in improving regulated online gaming in Spain, concluding this comprehensive event.
