Melilla to Host Event on Digital Identity Theft Prevention
The autonomous city of Melilla will be the venue for the PACS Event – a conference on the Protocol for Action Against Impersonated Taxpayers. This strategic meeting, focused on cybersecurity and identity verification, will take place on June 12th and 13th, with a particular emphasis on the digital and online gaming ecosystem.
Organized by the Central UDEV of the General Police Judiciary Commissariat, in collaboration with the Melilla Superior Police Headquarters and with the support of the Department of Technological Innovation of the local government, the event aims to strengthen the fight against digital identity theft. This growing phenomenon affects both citizens and operators in the digital environment.
The conference will bring together institutional authorities, security forces, private operators, and experts in verification and digital legality. The goal is to share knowledge, discuss best practices, and advance the implementation of the PACS Protocol, promoted by the Directorate General for Gambling Regulation (DGOJ).
