Hey, I’m Tyler Brooks — 31 years old, born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I’ve been a diehard Cowboys fan since I could walk (yes, even through the heartbreaks). I first got into iGaming after hitting an insane 8-leg parlay that turned five bucks into two grand. Been hooked ever since. When I’m not sweating a game or a bet, you’ll usually find me watching or playing sports, gaming with friends, or diving into the latest in the stock market and crypto space. Always chasing that next win, whether it's on the field, the screen, or the charts.

QTech Games Secures License to Operate in Peru’s Online Gaming Market

QTech Games, a prominent aggregator of online gaming content focused on emerging markets, is set to enter the Peruvian market. The Asia-based company has been granted a license by the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR), paving the way for its legal operation within the country.

This certification allows QTech Games to offer its full suite of iGaming products in Peru, including its cutting-edge integration platform, QTech Hybrid. The company confirmed the news on its official website, highlighting that the Peruvian government’s authorization enables them to legally provide their products and solutions to online casino operators in Peru.

Having already achieved considerable success in Africa, QTech Games now aims to replicate this model in Latin America. CEO Philip Doftvik expressed his enthusiasm for the Peruvian certification and the company’s expansion plans across the region.

“It’s fantastic to have certified our aggregation platform in Peru through MINCETUR, and I’m pleased to announce that we have more similar approvals pending across the continent,” Doftvik stated.

Doftvik also noted that, in addition to Brazil, one of Latin America’s fastest-growing markets, QTech Games already has a presence in countries such as Mexico, Chile, Colombia, and Paraguay, where it intends to further expand its offerings. He emphasized the potential of QTech Hybrid, which allows operators to integrate a wide range of games into a single platform, to thrive throughout Latin America.

“We know that our QTech Hybrid solution will function perfectly wherever we position ourselves in Latin America,” he concluded.

This comprehensive offering enables operators to provide a complete and diversified gaming experience.

    QTech Hybrid: A Game-Changing Solution

    Peru’s Regulated Online Gaming Market

Since March 2024, online betting houses in Peru have been regulated by MINCETUR under Law N° 31557. This legislation establishes a legal framework for remote gaming and sports betting platforms, ensuring that only authorized companies can operate in the country. Betting houses are required to apply for a license from MINCETUR, which includes specific requirements to guarantee security and responsible gaming.

The authorization process aims to formalize the sector, enhance transparency, and protect players. Strict penalties are in place for companies that fail to comply with the regulations, including substantial fines.

Fines for non-compliant betting houses can reach up to 200 Tax Units (UIT), equivalent to approximately S/920,000. The severity of the infraction will determine the sanction, which may include additional fines or the revocation of the operating license.
