Spanish Gaming Regulator Extends Licenses for Online Operators
The DGOJ (Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego), Spain’s iGaming regulatory body under the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs, and Agenda 2030, has recently extended a number of licenses for online gaming platforms.
Over the past 30 days, several operators have received license renewals and homologations, signifying continued compliance and authorization to operate within the Spanish market.
Key License Updates:
- Beatya Online: On June 17th, the technical system for Beatya Online was approved, allowing them to operate under the “Other Counterpart Bets” license.
- Artxibet 2022: On June 30th, Artxibet 2022 received its second technical system homologation for the “General Betting and Other Games License,” as well as specific licenses for “Sports Counterpart Bets and Other Counterpart Bets.”
- Codere Online: July 1st saw Codere Online granted its second homologation for licenses covering “Horse Racing Counterpart Bets, Sports Counterpart Bets, and Other Counterpart Bets.”
- Gamesys Spain: On July 11th, Gamesys Spain secured its second homologation for the “Singular License for Slot Machines.”
- Rfranco Digital: The validity of Rfranco Digital’s singular license for the development and operation of “Other Sports Counterpart Bets” was extended on July 15th.
- DZBT Deportes: On the same day, the regulator approved license extensions for DZBT Deportes to operate “Black Jack” and “Roulette.”
Other Notable Changes:
Beyond license extensions, the DGOJ also oversaw some corporate changes within the industry:
- Betwin360 Spain: On July 3rd, Game Division Tech officially changed its corporate name to Betwin360 Spain.
- LeoEsp: On July 4th, the accreditation of the effectiveness of Leovegas Gaming’s operation in the state area to LeoEsp was agreed upon.
