Hey, I’m Tyler Brooks — 31 years old, born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I’ve been a diehard Cowboys fan since I could walk (yes, even through the heartbreaks). I first got into iGaming after hitting an insane 8-leg parlay that turned five bucks into two grand. Been hooked ever since. When I’m not sweating a game or a bet, you’ll usually find me watching or playing sports, gaming with friends, or diving into the latest in the stock market and crypto space. Always chasing that next win, whether it's on the field, the screen, or the charts.

Crackdown on Illegal Gambling and Underage Gaming Nets Fines in Italy

Italian authorities have conducted a series of raids targeting illegal gambling and underage gaming, resulting in numerous administrative and tax violations and subsequent fines.

Extensive Operations in Lazio and Abruzzo

Over thirty operations were carried out in the provinces of Rome and Frosinone, uncovering irregularities in commercial establishments and private clubs. The joint effort involved the Monopolies Office for Lazio, the Anti-Fraud Office of the Lazio and Abruzzo territorial directorate, Carabinieri, Police, and the Guardia di Finanza. The focus was on establishments with slot machines (Awp) and those providing services for remote gaming concessionaires (Pvr).

Authorities also ensured compliance with local ordinances, with eight establishments found in violation of machine shutdown times.

    Pescara Province Targeted

Similar inspections took place in numerous commercial establishments in the province of Pescara. These locations were identified through risk analysis, territorial intelligence, and interagency coordination. Nineteen interventions were conducted in the province, targeting various types of businesses offering different gaming systems.

These inspections revealed administrative violations related to entertainment taxes and the failure to display the list of prohibited games as required by Article 110 of the Public Safety Law (Tulps) in two establishments. This particular violation constitutes a criminal offense. Furthermore, six unauthorized slot machines (Awp) were discovered, along with an unattended gaming room.

Combating Illegal Activities and Protecting Minors

These operations are part of a broader effort to combat illegal activities and underage gambling, aligning with the objectives of the Committee for the Prevention and Repression of Illegal Gambling, Gaming Security, and the Protection of Minors. The coordinated plan includes verification activities across the country, with a focus on the provinces of Rome and Frosinone in the Lazio region.
