Hey, I’m Tyler Brooks — 31 years old, born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I’ve been a diehard Cowboys fan since I could walk (yes, even through the heartbreaks). I first got into iGaming after hitting an insane 8-leg parlay that turned five bucks into two grand. Been hooked ever since. When I’m not sweating a game or a bet, you’ll usually find me watching or playing sports, gaming with friends, or diving into the latest in the stock market and crypto space. Always chasing that next win, whether it's on the field, the screen, or the charts.

Lazio Monopolies Office Reports Positive 2024 Results, Conducts 2,700 Gaming Sector Checks

The Lazio Monopolies Office has announced a positive balance sheet for its 2024 activities, highlighting significant efforts in safeguarding citizens and businesses within the gaming and tobacco sectors.

With offices in Rome, Viterbo, and Latina, the Lazio Monopolies Office played a crucial role in achieving notable results for the Customs and Monopolies Agency (Adm) throughout 2024.

Beyond the administrative management of a substantial number of establishments in the Lazio region – including 4,602 tobacco retailers, 2,005 vending machines, 1,182 licenses, 269 neighborhood stores selling liquid inhalation products, 3,456 lottery receivers, and 4,990 establishments with entertainment devices – the Office conducted approximately 2,700 inspections in the gaming sector. These checks covered entertainment devices, betting, lotteries, bingo, and SuperEnalotto.

Additionally, around 900 inspections were carried out in the tobacco sector, focusing on retailers, licenses, and liquid inhalation products.

“The Office’s unwavering commitment was also evident in addressing social issues, with particular attention given to sectors at higher risk of involving minors. In fact, 598 checks were performed on vending machines to ensure that products were dispensed only after the introduction of electronic identification documents, and 740 checks were conducted at establishments located near sensitive areas, such as schools. The efforts to combat illicit activities in the gaming and tobacco sectors have revealed numerous irregularities, leading to the imposition of both administrative and criminal penalties,”

Adm stated in a released note. Furthermore, “many interventions were carried out in collaboration with various law enforcement agencies (Guardia di Finanza, Carabinieri, and State Police), reaffirming an increasingly efficient presence in the territory.”
