Advanced Tools for Player Protection
Kessler highlighted the use of “subjective filters” to prevent minors and individuals with problematic behaviors from participating in gaming activities. Facial recognition and artificial intelligence (AI) systems enable real-time intervention by operators.
Furthermore, technology enhances self-exclusion procedures and allows for monitoring of player behavior. Gaming machines can now recognize potentially problematic patterns based on factors like playtime and money spent, triggering alerts to players, often aided by AI.
Players can also set their own gaming limits, both in terms of time and expenditure, exceeding those imposed by concessionaires or legislators.
